About Me

I am a senior consultant solicitor specialising in commercial and residential property and work alongside national law firm Taylor Rose MW Solicitors.  

I have lived most of my life in the local area, having been brought up in Worthing, and have spent the majority of my working life in and around Brighton and Hove, although I have clients from all around the country and beyond.

My experience ranges from house and flat sales and purchases, dealing with commercial business premises, acting for developers, secured lending work, lease extensions and variations and other property and conveyancing related things.

I am used to dealing with people from all backgrounds.  As with a lot of professions it is taken as a given you know the technical part of your job.  It's how you do it that can set you apart.  There can be a perception that solicitors are unapproachable and difficult to deal with.  The people side of the job is probably the part I enjoy the most and I take the time to understand each client's priorities.  

Doing anything to do with property can be stressful and it can feel like you are a commodity being passed around.  If you are thinking of embarking on anything property wise contact me first and I will be happy to chat through things before you start on whatever it is you are thinking of doing,  If a commercial property it can be particularly helpful to talk before you commit yourself and heads of terms are agreed.  I know what it is normal and what you can reasonably ask for.  That is one of the key advantages of me being independent.  You are my sole priority.  

Outside of work I live near the Sussex Downs in Lancing with my fiancee Tracey and our three dogs and two rabbits, not to mention visiting foxes.  With the seafront one way and the countryside the other this is a great part of the world to live in and a great country.

This website is my personal site.  I was always involved in the marketing side in my previous role and enjoyed that side of the business.  Modern website builders allow even people without technical knowledge to put together a site.  I just thought it would fun to do it and have full creative freedom.  I will be adding new regular content and additional pages including case studies and non-legal content.
